Company Branding
Client: Green Field Paper
what?: Logo Development, Collateral Design, Print Marketing
Info: Based on the idea of "new growth", the idea was to design a single, distinctive letter-form so fruitful that it was teeming with flora.
Info: The business card utilizes a pattern of the logo that mimics a solid color and is printed on paper embedded with wildflower seeds, meant to be planted.
Info: Envelope design before it is folded and glued.
Info: All outgoing correspondence is written on stationery where the 1st page displays the company logo and all subsequent pages do not.

David Petro Casting
Client: David Petro
what?: Logo Development
Info: Mr. Petro worked very closely with me on the design of this logo. I am pleased that though I had a client who knew exactly what he wanted I was able to suggest and implement an idea that complimented his vision.

Client: Scott Wittes Photography
what?: Logo Development, Promotional Materials
Info: Mr. Wittes approached me with a unique request: to design an overly simple, eye catching series of promotional fliers. I made sure not to obscure the photography and to evoke an air of playfulness. Original photography by Scott Wittes of Tanner Photography.

Identity Manual
Client: Green Field Paper
what?: Branding Guidelines, Copywriting, Ad Design
Info: I handmade an identity guide for Green Field Paper's internal use. The guide provides history on the designated type family, color and orientation rules, 28 samples of tree-free papers, ad direction, and collateral design.
Info: The unique hand binding of the book allows for it to stretch out at over 6 feet long.
Info: A combination of "accordion-style" and "flag page" bindings.
Info: Even on informational pages attention was closely paid to the layout; this page explains Green Field Paper's name and philosophy and is in the shape of a tree.
Info: I admit filler pages like this don't serve much purpose except to excite the eye!
Info: A close-up of the binding and handmade, tree-free paper cover.
Info: The names of 16 types of tree-free papers with paper samples throughout the guide.
Info: I designed a working "color" wheel featuring 16 types of tree-free papers made by Green Field Paper.
Info: A page displaying 9 more types of tree-free paper types.
Info: I took the opportunity to see if my ink jet printer would print the logo onto the specialty papers with any clarity.
Info: Great detail was put into the guide itself, not just the aesthetics of the book. This page explains how important visual identity is and defines the specific Pantone colors acceptable for use.

FORM2008: artistic independence
Client: Williams-England, WE Design
what?: Logo, Ad Design
Info: For the development of this logo, I decided on a purely textual approach. It is not often that I'm able to take the time to develop a custom typeface but with this project, I designed a complex grid and began to design the font line by line.
